Web Developer & Designer

Sophia Home, one of the leading furniture stores in the UAE, is looking for a full-time talented and passionate 'Web cum Mobile App Developer & Designer' with proven track record and at least 3–5 years of experience in web design and development. Working with the marketing manager, the web developer & designer will be responsible for:

Design, develop, & maintain user-friendly web and mobile applications (iOS, Android) who can transform ideas into functional applications
Excellent proven knowledge of web and mobile application development and can handle complete development process independently.
Implement front-end and back-end functionalities
Conduct unit testing and participate in integration testing
Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code
Update and maintain the website's content and appearance on a regular basis and incorporating new functionalities and features into websites.
Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices for the users
Stay up-to-date with the latest web and mobile development trends and technologies
Perform security checks and take regular backups

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Web & Mobile App Developer & Designer (3-5 years)
A relevant degree or diploma in the same field
Strong understanding of web development languages such as PHP, HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript, Python etc.
Excellent understanding of content management systems especially 'WordPress'
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Good understanding of search engine optimization principles
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
Up-to-date experience with web protocols, standards, and technologies
Creative, open to new ideas and willing to learn new techniques
Proficiency in graphic design tools (would be a plus)
Excellent communication skills.
