Lead Backend Developer

About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Lead Backend Developer to architect and drive backend development for our digital wallet services, including P2P and merchant wallets, card issuance, and WPS modules. You'll oversee a team of developers, guide architectural decisions, and ensure top security and performance standards.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
Lead the backend development team, managing project timelines, and providing mentorship.
Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive innovation across the backend team.
Experience managing large, distributed teams and guiding junior and senior developers.

Architecture & Development:
Architect and implement scalable backend solutions for high-availability payment systems.
Design and maintain microservices using Nest.js, Node.js, and TypeScript for core wallet functionalities.
Implement secure cryptographic protocols for transaction safety and regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with financial standards, scalability, and data security requirements.

Integration & Collaboration:
Integrate SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Redis) with caching and Elasticsearch for real-time data access.
Set up message-brokering and streaming with Kafka and RabbitMQ to handle high-throughput environments.
Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and QA teams to create seamless cross-functional solutions.

Deployment & Management:
Deploy and manage applications on AWS with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, address technical challenges, and align on roadmap milestones.

Requirements:
10+ years of backend development experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Expertise in MySQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and other NoSQL databases.
Advanced skills in Nest.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and AWS.
Proven experience in cryptography and secure financial transactions.
Excellent understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful and GRPC API development.
Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, and Chai.
Background in trading, Forex, or financial services is an advantage.
