Charterhouse is currently collaborating with a polycentric Law Firm that holds a prominent global presence. Recognized for its dedication to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction, this firm stands at the forefront of delivering legal services on a global level. They are now looking to hire a Junior Technical Support Specialist to become an integral part of our client's esteemed IT team. The Junior Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for providing first and second-line technical support, addressing user queries related to hardware and software issues via desk visits, phone calls, and emails. As a key member of the IT support team, this role will proactively monitor the Service Desk, escalate issues when necessary, and collaborate with third-line support for effective problem resolution. Additionally, the Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining user accounts, hardware, and providing assistance with conference/meeting room setups. Requirements To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have experience in an IS/IT technical client-facing role, preferably within a professional services environment. Knowledge of call logging software and familiarity with applications used by legal firms, including time capture and document management systems would be advantageous. Our client is looking for an individual who possess outstanding communication skills, a positive 'can-do' attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. The candidate should demonstrate strong client/customer-facing skills, the capacity to work under pressure, and the initiative to contribute to continuous improvement. Previous experience in the legal industry would be beneficial, and adherence to ITIL principles is highly valued. Technical skills should include expertise in PC hardware setup, Microsoft operating systems, and troubleshooting Microsoft Office, Outlook O365, and various web browsers. Experience with mobile devices and telephone systems are highly desirable.
