This innovative step is set to begin with the inaugural shipment in 2028, when JAL plans to load a specially designed container onto a lunar lander. This lander will be launched by ispace, a Tokyo-based start-up known for its advancements in space exploration. The containers, measuring 20cm by 20cm with a 10cm depth, will be built to withstand the lunar environment, ensuring the safe preservation of their contents.
