As the situation escalated, young Indians demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The online satirical group, the Cockroach People's Party, has even organized protests in Delhi to voice their discontent.
This incident is not an isolated case, as it follows a similar scandal involving the nationwide medical college entrance exam, which was marred by a question paper leak. The recurring issues in the examination system have underscored the urgent need for robust cybersecurity measures and transparent processes. In response to the crisis, the CBSE has launched a re-evaluation portal for students who believe their grades were miscalculated, and it claims to have contained the identified vulnerabilities. However, the damage to the board's reputation and the trust of students and parents is significant.
