Blumhouse Television, renowned for its compelling storytelling and innovative productions, has announced the appointment of Abbey Morris as Senior Vice President of Development & Programming. Morris brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the role, having previously served as Senior Vice President at Irish Cowboy Productions.

In her new position, Morris will collaborate closely with Melissa Aouate, the President of Blumhouse Television, to oversee the creative team’s efforts in scripted development. The division's recent projects include the highly anticipated series 'Scarpetta', featuring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis, set to premiere on Prime Video in March. Reporting directly to Chris Dickie, EVP of Blumhouse Television, Morris is expected to drive innovation and quality in the company’s programming slate.

Morris joins Blumhouse after a successful tenure at Irish Cowboy Productions, where she managed development and production under Steve Blackman’s overall deal with Netflix. Her notable achievements include executive producing the upcoming season of 'The Umbrella Academy' and working on the adaptation of 'Horizon Zero Dawn'. Her career trajectory also includes roles at Fabrik Entertainment, Mandeville TV, and The Gotham Group, where she honed her skills in leading diverse and ambitious development projects.

Originally from Detroit, Morris's early career included producing and writing for Detroit Public Television, earning two Michigan Emmy Awards for her outstanding contributions. Her vast experience and proven track record make her a valuable asset in steering Blumhouse Television towards new heights in scripted content.
